Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 thin slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Place each chicken breast between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound with a meat mallet until about 1/4 inch thick.

Season each chicken breast with salt and pepper.

Place a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each chicken breast.

Roll up each chicken breast tightly, tucking in the sides as you go, and secure with toothpicks.

Place the flour in a shallow dish. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess.

Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat in the breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.

Place the chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the melted butter over the chicken breasts.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.

Remove the toothpicks from the chicken breasts before serving.
